Ask Men has just announced their 99 most desirable women for 2011 and Anne makes the list at #9 – jumping over forty places from her position at #61 last year.
It seems like just yesterday that Anne Hathaway was charming audiences as the precocious teen in Disney’s smash hit The Princess Diaries. Today, the stunning actress and heir-apparent to Julia Roberts’ throne finds herself in an exclusive group of young starlets who get first crack at Hollywood’s most coveted roles. She has smoothly shed her good-girl image by starring in searing adult-oriented fare like Brokeback Mountain and Rachel Getting Married, while retaining a firm grasp on the coveted female demographic with her roles in The Devil Wears Prada and this year’s Love and Other Drugs (in which Hathaway exposes her flawless breasts, something she’s been prone to do). She was also nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role in the same film. And this month, she’ll take on the daunting task of hosting the Oscars (alongside James Franco), a shrewd career move for one of Hollywood’s hottest A-listers. The gig will mark Hathaway’s first appearance onstage at the Oscars, but it certainly won’t be her last.
Vanity Fair’s annual Hollywood issue is about to hit newsstands and they’ve released a sneak peek of the cover. Our girl Anne shares the front cover with Oscar co-host James Franco, her Love and Other Drugs co-star Jake Gyllenhaal, and Ryan Reynolds. If you click on the photo below you will be taken to a larger version. I will add scans and photos from the shoot as soon as they become available.
I’ve added to the gallery screencaptures of all three of the official Oscar promo commercials that have been released so far. These promos are so much fun to watch, I can’t wait for the show on February 27th!

Twentieth Century Fox had a press day to promote their upcoming movie Rio which of course features Anne as the voice of Jewel. I’ve added a small batch of MQ images to the gallery with more to come soon (hopefully in HQ as well).
Edit: All but two of the previously added MQ photos have been replaced with HQ versions. In addition, over 50 new HQ and over 60 new MQ photos have been added. (Make sure you refresh your screen as most of the first 14 MQ images have been replaced with different photos).

Another official Oscar promotional commercial has been released. Once again, you can view it after the cut.
The first official promo commercial for the upcoming Academy Awards has been released. You can view it after it the cut. Also, be sure to check out the photos from the promotional photoshoot I added to the gallery last night.
As you can see, we have a shiny new layout for the main site. The previous one was fun and sexy but it was a little on the dark side and I thought we needed something with a bit more color. Hope you all like it! I’m still doing some minor tweaking but if you find any serious issues, please let me know. And don’t forget to let us know what you think of the new look!
I just received an email from iVillage letting me know that Anne was nominated for three awards for their 2nd Annual iVillage Entertainment Awards.
I found your awesome Anne Hathaway fan site and I want to let you know that Anne is nominated in 3 categories in the 2nd Annual iVillage Entertainment Awards! The categories are ‘Sexiest Onscreen Chemistry’ (with Jake Gyllenhaal in Love and Other Drugs), ‘Most Spot-On SNL Impression of a Star’ (as Katie Holmes) and ‘Most Flawless Red Carpet Fashionista’.
Voting will begin on January 24th and end on February 14th with the winners announced on February 21st. I will post a voting link as soon as it becomes available.
When I made my first post announcing that Anne had been cast as Catwoman in the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises, it was literally seconds after the official announcement and not much was known. Here is some more information:
Hathaway was on the the list of actresses which tested for the role in recent weeks, along with Jessica Biel and Keira Knightley, as revealed by Heat Vision.
The test involved Christian Bale, who had to leave his National Board of Review in New York dinner early so he could catch a flight back to LA. to conduct.
The announcement didn’t actually name Hathaway’s character as Catwoman, which keeps in line with Nolan’s more grounded approach to the movie series.
Michelle Pfeiffer starred as Kyle/Catwoman in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns.
The character, as interpreted by Burton, was a meek secretary who becomes empowered after she is almost killed and left for dead.
Pfeiffer played her with a mix of repression and sensuality, with the character breaking out as a symbol of female empowerment and becoming a pop culture sensation.
In his interpretation, Nolan has been giving his characters a deeper and darker psychological edge.
Nolan and his team of writers (he wrote the screenplay with his brother Jonah Nolan, from a story by Nolan and David S. Goyer) have taken some inspiration for their take on Batman from the classic Batman: Year One storyline by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli, by way of asking, “What if the story continued?”
The Catwoman in Year One was a prostitute-dominatrix who helps Batman even as he inadvertently inspires her to don a costume and embark on a life of crime.
Warner gave no indication if this was Nolan’s take on the character.

Filming is planned to start in May and the film is scheduled to open in July of 2012.
Just moments ago, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Anne has officially been cast as Catwoman in the upcoming Batman sequel The Dark Knight Rises. Not much more is known at this time but I will keep you all posted as I learn more.
I’m still gathering and sorting photos from Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards but while you wait, you should check out the gorgeous new photoshoots I added to the gallery. These are seriously stunning and probably my favorite of Anne’s 2010 shoots. These photos were obtained exclusively for Anne Hathaway Fan and while I don’t mind if you post them on your site, tumblr, forum, etc., a credit and/or link back to us is much appreciated. It’s only polite to credit your sources.
