Anne Hathaway swears she she’s not one of those gals who obsesses about her dream wedding. But she does admit to thinking about at least one detail of the big day.

“I haven’t thought about the food; I haven’t thought about the look; I haven’t thought about my dress. I haven’t really thought about the guy,” Hathaway says in the new issue of Modern Bride magazine. “But every once in a while, I’ll listen to a song, and I’m like, ‘I want that at my wedding.’ ”

What’s on her playlist?

“Maps” by Yeah Yeah Yeahs and “Walken” by Wilco are a couple of her faves. And she has high hopes for “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne. “That’s going to be, like the number one wedding song for the next 25 years,” predicts Hathaway, who stars in next month’s Bride Wars opposite Kate Hudson. “Trust me.” Read the full article »

Hollywood star Anne Hathaway has shunned her new man and chosen her mother as her date for the Golden Globe Awards next year.

The actress – who is dating actor Adam Shulman – has received a Best Actress nomination for her role in Rachel Getting Married and, despite the ceremony being over a month away, Anne already knows who will escort her down the red carpet.

Jonathan Demme’s “Rachel Getting Married” isn’t really about Rachel (Rosemarie DeWitt) at all. It’s about her screwed-up sister Kym (Anne Hathaway in her best performance to date), a smoky, troublemaking but ultimately well-meaning mess on leave from a rehab facility who has been on drugs and booze for so much of her life, she unfortunately claimed another life along the way.

Just who that is won’t be revealed here, but it drives the emotions in a movie happy to unleash them at any point, which is often. Read the full article »

Topshop in Oxford Circus, London, is a vast, crowded, chaotic nexus of moms, teenagers, working girls, and, above all, stuff. There are piles of handbags and baubles and socks and hair doodads, and everywhere Kate Moss hovers gigantically. Just when you think you’ve found the aforementioned supermodel’s panther-clawed tunic in the right size, some Camden hipsteress with cherry hair and Siouxsie Sioux eyes is grabbing it by the other sleeve. Into this fast fashion fray, one day last October, steps Anne Hathaway, the movie star. Speaking of fashion with speed, Hathaway is wearing a nifty, nipped tweed blazer from Et Vous; a vintage Fred Perry tennis sweater; an Elizabeth and James plaid shirt; natural-waisted J Brand jeans; and slip-on Keds with rabbits drawn on the front. This is a girl who could teach even an NW1 punkette a thing or two about Lower East Side layering.

“Look, she’s buying cheap knickers!” somebody says. And, indeed, Hathaway is in the lingerie department, surveying the three-for-£7 panties in polka dots and funny florals—girly things. She’s also interested in camisoles, jumpsuits (she tries on a strapless black corseted romper), and things that in her mind fall into the “lounge around” category. “No one lounges around cuter than Kate Hudson,” she says.
