Ask Men has just announced their 99 most desirable women for 2011 and Anne makes the list at #9 – jumping over forty places from her position at #61 last year.
It seems like just yesterday that Anne Hathaway was charming audiences as the precocious teen in Disney’s smash hit The Princess Diaries. Today, the stunning actress and heir-apparent to Julia Roberts’ throne finds herself in an exclusive group of young starlets who get first crack at Hollywood’s most coveted roles. She has smoothly shed her good-girl image by starring in searing adult-oriented fare like Brokeback Mountain and Rachel Getting Married, while retaining a firm grasp on the coveted female demographic with her roles in The Devil Wears Prada and this year’s Love and Other Drugs (in which Hathaway exposes her flawless breasts, something she’s been prone to do). She was also nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role in the same film. And this month, she’ll take on the daunting task of hosting the Oscars (alongside James Franco), a shrewd career move for one of Hollywood’s hottest A-listers. The gig will mark Hathaway’s first appearance onstage at the Oscars, but it certainly won’t be her last.
I just received an email from iVillage letting me know that Anne was nominated for three awards for their 2nd Annual iVillage Entertainment Awards.
I found your awesome Anne Hathaway fan site and I want to let you know that Anne is nominated in 3 categories in the 2nd Annual iVillage Entertainment Awards! The categories are ‘Sexiest Onscreen Chemistry’ (with Jake Gyllenhaal in Love and Other Drugs), ‘Most Spot-On SNL Impression of a Star’ (as Katie Holmes) and ‘Most Flawless Red Carpet Fashionista’.
Voting will begin on January 24th and end on February 14th with the winners announced on February 21st. I will post a voting link as soon as it becomes available.
Just moments ago, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Anne has officially been cast as Catwoman in the upcoming Batman sequel The Dark Knight Rises. Not much more is known at this time but I will keep you all posted as I learn more.
Unfortunately, Anne did not win the Golden Globe for her performance in Love & Other Drugs. The award went instead to Annette Bening. Although disappointed that Anne didn’t win, I’m sure Annette did an amazing job and I send out my heartfelt congratulations to her.
Very exciting news Anne fans!!
Actors James Franco and Anne Hathaway will cohost this season’s Oscar ceremony, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced. Telecast producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer have decided to continue the two-host trend from last year’s show, when Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin shared emceeing duties. But they clearly seem to be courting a different generation: Franco and Hathaway’s combined age (61) is less than Steve Martin’s.
Barry Manilow, Elvis Costello and Jamiroquai will perform at the Oslo event on 11 December – one day after the prize-giving ceremony.
AR Rahman, Florence and the Machine and Herbie Hancock are also on the bill.
This year’s concert will honour jailed Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo, winner of the 2010 prize.

Anne is the host of tonight’s Saturday Night Live. I’ll try to have screencaptures up tomorrow for you all. You can view her promo clip after the cut.
As adorable as Anne looked in the photos I posted earlier, her reps have told Us Magazine that she did not get her haircut.
Why the dramatic new pixie? Hathaway, 27, debuted the shorter style for her role in the currently-shooting flick One Day. But don’t be fooled: “It’s a wig,” the actress’ rep tells UsMagazine.com.
I have to admit I’m kind of disappointed. I really though Anne looked fantastic with the pixie-ish cut.
The Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards were handed out earlier tonight and Anne has won for her voiceover work on The Simpsons. Congratulations Anne!!
John Lithgow was named Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama for Dexter, Ann-Margret was named Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama for Law & Order: SVU, and Betty White was named Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy for hosting Saturday Night Live.
Anne Hathaway was named Outstanding Voiceover Performance as Princess Penelope on The Simpsons; David Rockwell won for Outstanding Art Direction for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards; The Kennedy Center Honors was named Outstanding Variety Special; and Mia Michaels won Outstanding Choreography for So You Think You Can Dance.
A second batch of nominations for the 2010 Teen Choice Awards were announced and Anne is on the list. Her movies Alice in Wonderland and Valentine’s Day all received a respectable amount of nominations but this was the first that featured her.
Choice Movie: Female Scene Stealer
* Dakota Fanning, “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon”
* Ashley Greene, “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon”
* Anne Hathaway, “Alice in Wonderland” / “Valentine’s Day”
* Anna Kendrick, “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon” / “Up in the Air”

There has been no word if Anne will be making an appearance at this year’s ceremony but we here at Anne Hathaway Fan will keep you posted!
Congratulations to Anne for being invited to join the Academy!
On Friday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released the names of the “135 artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures” and have been invited to join this club that numbers just under 6,000 members.
Last year’s acting invitees included onetime nominees Casey Affleck (“The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford”), Viola Davis (“Doubt”), Anne Hathaway (“Rachel Getting Married”), Taraji P. Henson (“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”), Melissa Leo (“Frozen River”), Amy Ryan (“Gone Baby Gone”), Michael Shannon (“Revolutionary Road”) and Michelle Williams (“Brokeback Mountain”).
