Anne Hathaway is a trooper. Despite a death in the family this weekend, she still showed up at a gay-rights gala on Saturday night.

The 25-year-old starlet was given the Human Rights Campaign’s Ally for Equality Award during its annual Los Angeles fete at the Hyatt Century Plaza hotel.

Hathaway (above, with CAA agent Bryan Lourd) said supporting the gay community hits close to home. It was “no big deal,” she said, when her older brother, Mike, told the family he was gay. Read the full article »
