Anne Hathaway has signed on to play opposite Kate Hudson in the romantic comedy Bride Wars. The film will be directed by Gary Winick (13 Going on 30).

Hudson and Hathaway play two best friends who become rivals when they schedule their respective weddings on the same day. They will start shooting early next year.

The plot line has a lot of potential to be a really fun and cute movie. Hopefully, they don’t screw it up for us, cause we’ve been running dry on chick flicks.
